Week 25:52 {Chasing Dreams}...

I've mentioned before how much our youngest loves steam engines.  He told me the other day...

"I had a dream that the steam engine was coming around the bend!"

On our way through Western Maryland last weekend we chased the 734 around Helmstetter's Curve...definitely the highlight of the trip for him.

Exciting Weekend of Baseball...

Last weekend was a busy but exciting weekend of baseball...

Eli had his last game as a Pirate being coached by his daddy...

Then we were off to Joshua's championship game.  He sat on the sidelines for a few weeks due to his broken finger but he was able to play in this game.  It was a very exciting, hard fought game.  Joshua had a hit that kept the inning alive and ended up scoring a run.  Below is a video of his hit (filmed by a very happy Dad).

In the end they won!  3-1.

Then we were off with Micaiah for a semifinal game at 6pm.  They won in 11 innings to move on to the semifinal game the following day at 1pm.

They won that game too...so they ended up in the championship game later that evening.  They played under the lights and won!

5th Grade Graduation...

Words seem inadequate when I attempt to explain the joy that we had on this day.  

We knew that changing schools this year would be a big transition for Micaiah.  He went from a small class of 9 to a school with 3-5th grade classes (a total of 77 kids).  So much prayer went into this decision and the Lord provided very clear wisdom and direction.   It was such a blessing to see how it all came together.

He received the Gold-President’s Award for Educational Excellence at Graduation...

"Micaiah, we are so proud of the way you transitioned this year.  We love you and pray God's blessings as you journey into middle school."

Week 23:52 {Blur}...

I often wonder if this little one feels like his life is a "blur"... moving from one "big brother activity" to another.  I count it a blessing when I get special time with one of our 4 boys.  It's even sweeter when we are able to do the very thing that brings them joy.

Will is a lover of trains...not just any trains..."steam engines."  He loves the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad the best.  So we took him on a walk up the Allegany Highlands Trail to the Brush Tunnel and let him run free (since the steam engine was already back at the station). 

So this is Will coming out of the tunnel...
