Charleston 2014...{the sea}


After the week of packing.  
After the last load of laundry is transferred into the dryer, folded and placed in the suitcase.  
After the stuffed animals and the toy trains are zipped up and placed somewhere close in the van.
After all the doors are locked tight...

We take our places in the van and I feel it, I'm thankful for it because I know what it means...

That EXHALE...that slow exhalation is the beginning of leaving the stress of the preparation behind and the beginning of looking toward the journey ahead.  With that exhale we embrace the "what's not done can wait" and "what we don't have we'll buy" and you focus on the here and now.  Vacation, hopes of relaxation, slower days and...












Charleston 2014...{the folly river}...

Captain Max and his first mate David gave us a ride on the Folly River one evening.  We saw a pod of dolphins, watched Max and David skurf and swam quickly around the boat :)







Charleston 2014...{sunrise park at sunset}...

Sunrise park on James Island is one of our favorite places to visit.  Supposedly it's a beautiful place to watch the sunrise (we've never been there that early)...my boys know it as the best place to find shark teeth.  This visit we went at sunset and Tucker took the boys on a paddleboard ride...
