this is the only spot in the basement that wasn't damaged by water...so everything is piled in that corner on top of the guest bed...you can see the beautiful red and black asbestos tiles that were underneath the carpet padding, Wes has spent hours removing them (after sponging them with water again to reduce the dust)...you can also see the pink carpet padding and some of the carpet from before in this corner...we need to complete one side so we will have a place to put all of this stuff while we remove the carpet, padding and tiles from this section...

he has removed all of the tiles from the portion of the basement in the picture below, filled in the "termite drilling holes" that were in the foundation from years before we bought the house (that we now realize were the culprit of the water fountains in the basement) and he just started to paint the floor with some type of sealant.
I will post pictures of our progress as the weeks go on...
