Our first snow...

of the season. For the past few weeks the boys have been hoping for snow at Thanksgiving, because they know that Grandma has a great sledding hill. Prior to us leaving Baltimore on Wednesday morning, Grandma sent pictures of the snowfall in her backyard...

So, on Thanksgiving morning...

snow angels appeared in the yard by 8:45 A.M.

Snow mysteriously disappeared from the yard in little patches...

long trails were evident through the fields....

and there were many grandkids with smiling faces!

A Lesson in teamwork...

Our white oak finally released it's leaves and unfortunately the wind didn't take enough of them away to make much of a difference. So, since the boys still think this type of work is "fun" we put them to work!
Prince Caspian drove the billy goat...
Micaiah blew the leaves into a pile...

and just so you don't think it was all child labor...
Oh, and Eli...well he took a nap for the majority of the time and when he woke up he just stood there looking as cute as ever...
a little under three hours later we had 30 bags of leaves at the curb and were off making chocolate chocolate chip and M+M cookies (Micaiah's request...yes, he is a Brunson as my mom would say).

The First Annual "Pumpkin Smash"...

You've heard me say before that there are a lot of boys on our tiny street...so one dad had a great idea...here is the scene prior to the demonstration...

at the shout of "Go" all the boys gave it their best shot...o.k. maybe 3, 4, 5, or 6 shots!

yes, we all stand amazed that no one was injured in this great battle...and the organizer promises that their will be many more rules established for next year...

BUT, oh what fun they had...
even down to the little ones!

All in a day's work...

Josh and Micaiah arriving on the job scene...
discussing their plan of attack...

wait a minute, Josh thinks he can handle this job all by himself...

two successful workers...

and a job well done!!!
