First Day of School 2016-2017...

Some of the boys were more excited than others about the first day of school. But I should report they have all transitioned well...much better than last year in fact! We have an 8th grader, a 6th grader, a 3rd grader and a 1st grader. They are in 3 different schools and their buses come at 6:50, 7:30 and 8:15 so the morning feels like it's one continuous cycle of crazy...

Spring Concert...

Micaiah was recently inducted into the National Junior Honor Society.  I love that this award focuses on more than just academic success.  Here are the 5 pillars of the NJHS.  Congrats!

William's Class...

I made it into William's class for a little bit for American Education Week.  It was fun to see him in the classroom.  He has the same K teacher Eli did.  We are so thankful because she is amazing with the kids.  She gave the kids an assignment to write a "friendly letter." 

Dear Mom, I knew you would be here today.  I love you!  I am so glad you are here!

School Halloween Party and Parade...

I'm so thankful I was able to make it to the younger boys Halloween parade.  For some reason traditions like this make me realize how quickly time is slipping by. William was a train engineer and Eli was Bear Grylls from the show "Man vs. Wild"

Will's First Day of K...

He had difficulty falling asleep the night before.  He said "K is going to be like for 30 years.  And 10 hours long!"  He finally slept but woke up with the same feelings.  Growing up is tough!  Thankfully his brothers and our neighbors came to the rescue the morning of school.  Our sweet friend Mallory (that bakes such beautiful cakes) brought Will a special cupcake with sprinkles and his name on top.  The boys and Daphne encouraged him and by 8:00 he was walking up the bus steps.

Back to School...

It's always difficult to say goodbye to summer and get back into the routine of school days.  The boys did well this week.  Especially Josh as he transitioned to a new school for 5th grade and adjusted to a 6:45 bus pick up! 

Micaiah is off to 7th grade this year. 
Will made an appearance at the bus stop on the first day of school but didn't attend until later in the week.

Eli is off to 2nd grade.
