Will and the Death Star...

Eli decided he really wanted the Lego Death Star so he decided to start building using online instructions and Lego's we have around the house. Wes has helped here and there. Will has really enjoyed setting up battles and pretending with his newest treasure.

117|366... We found a treasure in our neighborhood over the weekend and he couldn't wait to come back! We've been here for an hour this morning and he shows no sign of wanting to leave. This boy was made for the outdoors.

Earth Day...

A couple of moms from our neighborhood organized an Earth Day Celebration. They brought a naturalist in to take us on a stream walk.  The Naturalist brought some animals for the kids to enjoy and taught them lots of fun facts.

This boy absolutely loves being a part of a team. He was so excited for his first practice of the season.

Every single one of our boys has wanted the Lego Death Star at some point. Eli decided he'd use the Lego instructions and all our various bins of Lego's to see if he could build a replica of the Death Star. It's coming along quite nicely!

102|366...We caught this rainbow the other day out the attic window by the #lochviewtree There is something in me that longs to see beauty. I think this longing is in all of us but our culture struggles so much to define this deep need. I came across this quote by Tim Keller that I keep rereading... “It fits to glorify God — it not only fits reality, because God is infinitely and supremely praiseworthy, but it fits us as nothing else does. All the beauty we have looked for in art or faces or places — and all the love we have looked for in the arms of other people — is only fully present in God himself... “Jonathan Edwards once said: ‘God is glorified not only by His glory’s being seen, but by its being rejoiced in.’ It is not enough to say, ‘I guess he is God, so I have got to knuckle under.’ You have to see his beauty. Glorifying God does not mean obeying him only because you have to. It means to obey him because you want to — because you are attracted to him, because you delight in him... We need beauty.”

Eli had fun staying busy at Joshua's baseball practice. This kids upper body strength amazes me. I don't even think I could hang without hurting myself:)

Baseball season is upon us...if you need me I'll be at the field. This past weekend I sat on the sidelines in my winter jacket, hat, scarf and then stuffed myself inside a sleeping bag to stay warm. Seriously though it is a joy to watch our boys doing something they love.

095|366...Eli had a chance to draw a picture of what was "in his brain" today. The picture was an outline of a brain with compartments. Almost 1/2 of it was filled with hiking and fishing. This boy comes alive when he's exploring outside. This was taken with my phone on Saturday when he and I slipped away for a hike with #bellathecreamgolden.

It's been a while since I've participated in #fridayintroductions but a #my_365_me prompt on a Friday...it just seems right. Hello, I'm Jenna. I am so thankful for God's pursuing love in my life. I am a part-time pediatric physical therapist, lifestyle photographer and mother of 4 boys (13 to almost 6). I met my husband at West Virginia University over 20 years ago. I am an avid Orioles fan, a lover of warm chocolate chip cookies and a really good comedy. Share your favorite comedy in the comments.

Spring Break Day 5...

We spent the afternoon building the Star Wars sets that Will got that morning from the Lego Store.  Then we met sweet friends in Annapolis for the evening.  The weather ended up cloudy but in the 70's...and we witnessed a really cool lightning storm on our drive home.
