So thankful to have caught the sunrise this morning. It was bitter cold but totally worth it!

we ran outside to see the snowflakes but they disappeared as quickly as they appeared. I caught this picture while he waited to see if they would begin falling again. This little boy wants snow!

This is mile marker 0 where the Great Allegany Passage meets the C&O Canal Towpath to Washington, DC.
This is part of a collection of postcards I made to be sold at Get out And Play! Outfitters at Canal Place. If you're ever in the area be sure to visit Get Out and Play Outfitters "the premier provider of recreation in the region."

Bubbles...
Eli found some bubbles this afternoon. When he noticed I was taking pictures he said "Mom, wait!"
And then he put one up to his eye for a picture. This is one of the things I like about participating in the 365 project...letting the kids direct some of the creative shots.

a game of "chicken" in the attic. After a long 24 hours caring for our sick dog this was a welcome change this evening. Praying Bella is better in the morning!

007|366 {Different}...
throwing it back to a different season...October. I was on a project with @get_out_n_play_outfitters. We biked a portion of the trail...so my dad joined us (running of course). Friends, he is currently training for his 9th Boston Marathon! I love this picture of him running out of the Borden Tunnel on the Great Allegany Passage Rail Trail.

he had a great idea for the "above" prompt...practicing the scorpion kick⚽️. This is the best way I've found to have the older kids participate...let them come up with the idea for the picture.

Eli will tell you that he loves Bella when she is calm but he's not so crazy about her "puppy ways." This picture shows his connection with her in the best way...

Star Wars after breakfast. I so badly want to clear the breakfast nook, but he has spent hours here over Christmas break...
Washington DC...
...is one of our favorite day trips for the family in the winter season. The fact that these museums are "free" make it a fun and inexpensive way to spend the day for our family of 6.
We visited The National Museum of American History, American Museum of Natural History and the National Archives. I only snapped a few pictures in the museums. The boys were able to see C3P0 from "Return of the Jedi." William loved seeing the history of transportation.

New Years Day 2016...
...with the PA Maces! Winter decided to show up today after months of 50-70 degree whether so we didn't last long outside. But the sunset was amazing this first day of 2016.
All the kids went in different directions. A couple of the kids played basketball...a couple searched for a geocache and a couple played on the trains and playground.

001|366 {Me}...
Last year I completed my first 365 project on Instagram. It was such a great way to push my creativity and inspire me to keep shooting throughout the year.
I've decided to join the MY 365 community again this year and complete another 365 project. My 365 will be a mix of iphone and Canon DSLR pictures. Every day has a theme and I hope to push myself to play along. I'll try to post the daily picture here too.
...Wow it's cold. Winter decided to show up today. Thankfully it came with a beautiful sunset too!...

Week 52:52 {Rejoice}...
As I conclude this weekly photo project it is only natural to reflect on the past year. We have so much to be thankful for this year but the biggest of them all is how the Lord answered our prayers for this sweet child.
This school year has been such a welcome change for him. It has been a blessing to watch him excel in so many ways. His teacher told us at our parent teacher conference that she feels like he is the type of kid that the school was built for. Seriously?! It has been a long sometimes arduous journey but the Lord has demonstrated his faithfulness to us yet again.
Just today, Joshua was getting excited to return to school and I said...
"Joshua I am so thankful that you like school that much." To which he replied...
"Yeah, God really answered our prayers."
Moses answered the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”
