How Deep Was the Snow?...
My neighbor just sent me these pictures from Sunday. I was crossing over the road to talk with them...

029|366 {Abstract}...
I took this photo this afternoon while the boys were sledding at the middle school. Micaiah was on top of a snow pile and I noticed his silhouette against the setting sun. When I got home I looked for an app to make it somewhat abstract. Glaze app for the win:)

Blizzard Fun...
Wes started the morning with homemade doughnut muffins with homemade glaze and chocolate icing. They were delicious. We just may have to invest in a doughnut pan:)
The roads were completely untouched Saturday morning which made it beautiful BUT as you noticed in the previous post we needed to get Joshua to the hospital.
Thankfully two of our neighbors with snowblowers cleared the road that connects to our driveway so we could get out. While the snowblowers were clearing the road the kids had fun playing..

A double post. I couldn't help myself.
Soaking in the last bit of sunshine today...
Poor Guy...
but he's still smiling.
Unfortunately, this guy had a fall Friday evening. We were pretty sure he broke his arm. We tried to take him to the clinic Friday in the middle of the storm but they were closing. So we got him a splint and he's been resting. Today two of our neighbors used their snowblowers to clear the road so that we could take him to the ER. He does in fact have a buckle fracture of the radius.
Using the Force...
We had a little fun in the snow. William went through Padawan training in Florida last April and it seems that he may have the force. Watch out! Press play to see him use it...

William and the Blizzard of 2016...
His eyes continue to fascinate me. The color is so different than the rest of us.
These last two pictures were taken as William was coming back in from outside. I shot them through the glass door. I fell in love with the softness of these and the emotion it evokes...

022|366 {Spot}...
the snow is beginning to fall and #bellathecreamgolden is ready to play! After a bout of "limber tail syndrome" she is finally wagging her tail again (thanks to steroids and anti-inflammatory meds). Seriously...I never knew there was such a thing!

021|366 {Bokeh}...
One of the reasons I love this my365 challenge is that it pushes me to think creatively. We had a light dusting of snow this morning so rather than using lights to get bokeh (aesthetic quality of the blur produced in the out-of-focus parts of an image produced by a lens) like normal I decided to try to attain it with the snow.

Brother Bowling...
With a few of the boys off of school and a wind chill of 5 degrees we needed something fun to do that would expend a little energy. It was fun to watch Micaiah and Eli cheer on William. But that ended with William...the two of them were super competitive with one another. Thankfully both games were very close...
019|366 {Graceful}...
3/4 of the boys were off of school today so we went bowling. Micaiah won in points but Eli definitely won for style!

BOYS!!
Today, William (donning his Darth Vader costume) farted so loud while the sales lady was tying his new shoes. I mean no holding it in...he actually lifted his body off of the bench to allow the gas to escape.
Then, two of the boys had dentist appointments. While we were waiting for them to be called back the hygentist came to the door and called for "Mrs. Weiner." Let me just say they laughed so hard they cried and I put another notch in my #boymom belt!

Quick Trip to Pittsburgh...
Wes' dad recently underwent open heart surgery. We made the most of a quick trip to the Steel City. Wes was able to spend some time at the hospital with his dad both days while I took the boys on different excursions.
We rode the Duquesne Incline at night and witnessed a beautiful view of the city then ate dinner at the Jerome Bettis Grill. The next morning we visited Point State Park and William saw a double decker train! He was so excited he exclaimed "I thought it was a dream, but it's real!"
The Carnegie Science Center was a great spot to take the boys while Wes visited the hospital. They loved the Robots Omnimax and the exhibit of Robots. Their favorite part was the HighMark SportsWorks with the You-Yo
Become a human yo-yo on this 25-foot-high arch with a three-foot flywheel mounted at the top. Whisk yourself high in the air and soar with the help of kinetic energy.
I included a video of Micaiah on the You-Yo at the bottom of this post.
