I caught the sunrise out of the attic window when I went to get the boys up yesterday morning. I was immediately struck by the choice I had to make as to where I would place my focus. Would I choose to ignore the dirty window or illuminate it with the beauty of the morning sun? We face this decision so often during our days...it reminds me of this quote by @annvoskamp "The practice of giving thanks...eucharisteo...this is the way we practice the presence of God, stay present to His presence, and it is always a practice of the eyes. We don't have to change what we see. Only the way we see."
