then came the "witching hour" as some people call it...while I was making dinner and the older boys were watching a video, he took all of the measuring cups and spoons out of the drawer...
then, he pulled all of the placemats out and proceeded to slide across the floor on them (something I'm pretty sure an older brother taught him)...
but the worse was when I turned around and saw him standing on the dining room table (yes, I chose to get him off of the table and not take a picture)...pulling all of the napkins out of the napkin holder and throwing them on the floor...
now I remember why I used to put Joshua in his highchair in front of the TV!

Weekend Conversations
Joshua, looking at the hair on his arms one morning, says..."Mommy, my fur will keep me warm!"
As Jenna and I were strolling through the zoo this past weekend we both noticed something peculiar about one of the elephants. We tried to distract Micaiah's inquisitive mind by moving on to the next exhibit but we were a moment too late. Micaiah said as he watched the elephant, "What is that thing? It's moving!" We could see the wheels turning, and although we didn't want to try explaining the elephant's anatomical make-up, we were both waiting for his next remark. "It must be a two-trunked elephant" he said, "I've never seen a two-trunked elephant. Maybe Dr. Seuss made it up!"

An afternoon nap...
is rare these days, but if it happens it is on "my couch" as Joshua calls it.
And the line up in the window is set up daily...ever since our trip to Disney.

Moon Shoes...
In my days as a pediatric Physical Therapist these shoes were in my "bag of tricks." They were great for increasing hip flexion, gastroc strength and working on dynamic stability.
I decided to pull them out and let the boys experiment with them. I mentioned the name while I was helping Micaiah put them on and Joshua says to me..."Mommy, can I go to the moon next?"
well I guess that is a little lesson in false advertising...but they had a blast anyway!
